This worked great for me, nice and strong. I didn't have a welder but I found a pvc coupler fitting that fit snugly around the inside pipe (one at the top and one at the bottom) and slipped snugly inside the pole being extended so a weld was not required.

These sleeves fit perfectly, very sturdy almost seamless. Once welded will be the perfect size fence post, better then I hoped!

I needed to extend a standard 10 foot post to attach a sun sail tarp. This sleeve was exact to measurements and stronger than the standard post. Excellent.
