Arm has 1/2 steel pivot plate at post end... It is not even in the same category as the heavily advertised units found ...,you know where!
Holes on the pivot plate allow mounting to a steel post with u bolts, or with thru bolts to a very heavy wooden fence post.
These are boxed and packaged with basic instructions for someone who knows what they're doing, it's not a handholding DIY manual, but All of the information is there, so I had no trouble at all. The basic unit comes with a 300 MHz garage door type receiver for a remote control. It is programmed with a dip switch.
Not cheap but I think it will Outlast 2 to 3 of the cheaper box store openers..... Which typically lasts from 3 to 5 years... That is if they even work out of the box...
